Halima Babangida, the second daughter and last child of former military head of state General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida (Rtd) on Friday, got married to Auwal Abdullahi, a businessman who holds the traditional title of Sarkin Sudan Gombe, at Babangida’s Hill Top residence in Minna
Former Military President, Ibrahim Babangida on Friday received a bride price of N500,000 and 10 cows from Auwal Abdullahi, the businessman who married his daughter, Halima Babangida.
Gombe State governor, Ibrahim Dankwanbo, received the bride on behalf of the groom.
Twenty six private jets and four police and air force aircraft landed in Minna on Friday for the wedding of former President Ibrahim Babangida’s daughter.
Former president Goodluck Jonathan and his wife Patience, Former Head of State, General Abdusalam Abubakar, Senate President Bukola Saraki, House Speaker Yakubu Dogara, Senator Godswill Akpabio, Governors Abubakar Bello (Niger), Abdulaziz Yari (Zamfara), Abdullahi Ganduje (Kano), Aminu Tambuwal (Sokoto), Abdulfatah Ahmed (Kwara), former First Ladies Turai Yar’adua and Justice Fati Abubakar, All Progressives Congress (APC) National leader Bola Tinubu.
Others were Isa Yuguda, former governor of Bauchi state, Sule Lamido, former Governor of Jigawa, Ibrahim Shema, former Gov. of Katsina, Alhaji Abubakar Dakingari, former Gov. of Kebbi.

Also prominent among the guests at the ceremony were businessman, Aliko Dangote and Mr. Mark Snoxell, Managing Director, Dornier Aircraft.
