Thiago Alcantara extends Bayern Munich contract until 2021

Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara has extended his contract at the club until 2021, the Bundesliga champions have announced. The Spain international, 26, is in his fourth year at the club and his existing deal had been due to expire in the summer of 2019.

Confirming that the extension had been signed, Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told the club’s official website: “Thiago is one of the best and therefore the most sought-after midfielders in Europe.

 “We are very happy that we have been able to bind this outstanding professional to the club in the long term.”
Thiago said he was delighted to have agreed the new deal, adding: “My family and I feel very comfortable in Munich. Everything fits. I want to win many titles with Bayern in the future.”
