Viral Social Media Protest #LazyNigerianYouths Makes Wikipedia Page

Few weeks ago, President Buhari made false claims at the CommonWealth business forum that a lot of Nigerian youths are uneducated and lazy. This resulted in a social media revolt by Nigerian youth with the #LazyNigerianYouth. The hashtag has been established on Wikipedia as the power of social media in the hands of the youth.

The hashtag which started with a twitter Mr. Jack Robinson received thousands of tweet with millions of impressions. Celebrities also jumped on the hashtag to state our hard they work all day without any support from the government.

Wikipedia describe the hashtag as a social media revolt by Nigerian youths against their President, Muhammadu Buhari.
